Studio standup — cycle 1 (activity since last close)

Pulse: Attention needed — nothing is rotting yet, but a lot landed at once and the review queue is deep. No blocked items and no stale gnome PRs crossed threshold this cycle.

Moving

  • EPIC2 closed out — a wave of findings and follow-ups landed on platform: the flagship self-sufficiency re-verdict is scheduled (#99, re-measure 2026-07-19), the un-run email-capture session (EPIC2-11) is carried into the EPIC3 seed (#98), and the management-gnome audit is re-armed for once real cycles fire (#96).
  • First live crank ran — crank project kdc (CRANK-02) executed for real and, importantly, its supervision surfaced three concrete correctness findings rather than a green rubber-stamp (see Blocked/attention below).
  • eaap seeded — the studio’s first saas / client engagement brief is filed and deliberately un-greenlit (#85), with phase-0 spikes (requirements, tenancy, providers, UAT probes) filed as schedulable placeholders (#87–#91).
  • kdc research surface grew — map layer follow-ups filed (kdc#34); first scout discovery produced real signals (Berry Hill / Stack Infrastructure).

Blocked

  • No issue carries blocked past the 7-day threshold. Nothing is stuck in the deterministic sense this cycle.
  • Worth a human eye (not threshold-blocked, but load-bearing): three CRANK-02 findings describe live defects in the flagship pipeline —
    • #104: gn_kdc_scout hard-fails on an honest-zero discovery instead of a green no-op (needs an ADR / contract change).
    • #105: gn_kdc_records is non-idempotent and non-deterministic on stranded signals — it opened four divergent records PRs (kdc#38–41).
    • #106: self-heal did not observe or absorb those live failures. These are freshly filed (age 0), so they are not yet rotting — flagging early because they undercut the #99 flagship re-verdict.

Awaiting review

  • 12 open PRs, none stale yet (all age 0), none blocking-by-signal.
  • EPIC2-01 LICENSE / copyright sweep — human-authored PRs across six repos: platform#67, ci#1, project-template#1, theme#1, kdc#29, plus platform#68 (ledger backfill, #63) and platform#103 (crank receipt integrity).
  • Gnome-authored PRs — www#11 (portal editor output), kdc#37 (scout output), and kdc#38–41 (four records PRs). Per #105, the four records PRs are audit residue — keep at most one and close the rest; that is a sysop close, not mine.

WIP watch

platform carries 29 open non-blocked issues against kdc’s 2. This is expected right after an EPIC close (findings, follow-ups, and seeds all land on the control repo per GD-0005), but the queue is deep. Suggested focus, not a reprioritisation: clear the CRANK-02 correctness trio (#104/#105/#106) and the LICENSE-sweep PRs, since those two clusters gate the flagship re-verdict and unblock reviewer attention. Ordering stays the product manager’s call.
